If you store your public key here, your Lightning address will also become your Nostr address. NIP-05 (Nostr addresses) allows a Nostr account to associate the public key with a DNS-based internet identifier.

🔑 For a Nostr key pair / Nostr identity / Lightning⚡ wallet in the browser
The Alby browser extension can be connected to your Alby account, allowing you to use a Lightning⚡ wallet natively in the browser.
⚠️ Important: The seed is linked to the extension, not the Alby account!
With the extension, you can log into websites – your private Nostr key (nsec) is crucial for this.
🔓 Important passwords:
- The “Unlock Password” applies only to the browser extension.
- It is not the same as your Alby account password and is not linked to it. It must be set up anew in each browser.
